Noodles: More than 90 Recipes for Pasta and Noodle Dishes from Around the World

Publications International LTD, 2018 (192 pages)

If you love noodles like I do, you'll find this a fun dive into various pasta dishes from around the world.  You will see recipes from Asia, Italy and the Mediterranean to explore, as well as the good old USA with recipes for Mac-n-Cheese, and 5-Way Cincinnati Chili over spaghetti and more.  From soups to salads and everything in between, it is a deep dive into everything pasta.

I like the fact that there are some recipes that are family-size and then there are some recipes geared for smaller servings.  If I can, I try to explore a recipe for peanut sauced pasta, and I found one in this book.  Called "Peanutty Thai Pasta", it was a surprisingly tasty, yet simple recipe to follow.  No complicated extra ingredients.  I had all the components except I substituted the chopped green onion for some minced chives, and it worked out well.  And surprise, surprise!  I had peanuts on hand for the garnish.

What I especially enjoyed was the fact that while noodles are an especially easy dish to put together, this book can stand on your shelf as something to grab for inspiration when you don't know what to fix.  A good cold pasta salad on hand is always a great choice to keep on hand, especially in the warmer months.  The "Greek Pasta and Vegetable Salad" reminded me of a summer salad I often whip up in the summer.  Usually, I toss it with a pre-made Italian dressing, but this dressing sounded yummy and included honey and fresh spinach.
