Why do I love essential oils so much?  They are little bottles of herbal healing just waiting to be used, already concentrated and ready to go.  When you want quick and easy, essential oils have it ready for you.

 

Looking at this book, Essential Oils to Boost the Brain & Heal the Body, it instantly had my attention.  Sometimes you need to look at things all laid out for you, and here it is.  This book introduces a five-step protocol designed to address issues like anxiety, sleep difficulties, inflammation and even brain function.  It is detailed and action oriented.  And because there is a forward by Terry Wahls, M.D., it carries that extra boost of credibility as it is backed by a physician.

 

Because of my autoimmune issues, I personally am interested in anything talking about inflammation and brain function, as with MG (Myasthenia gravis), there is some level of memory issues and foggy thinking as well.  To be honest, inflammation is the root of all disease and as a society (with our stress levels and eating habits), we are all struggling with this issue.  This book easily addresses any kind of health problem with five simple keys for which essential oils can be combined with and used as a healing enhancement.  Those keys are:  1. Shift into your parasympathetic state 2.  Optimize your sleep 3. Enhance the flow of fluids, so good things get in and bad things get out 4. Fuel your energy to heal and 5. Modulate your immune system and calm inflammation so your immune system works with you, not against you.

 

The author states, "Balancing these functions can make a huge difference in your ability to heal, removing obstacles that keep you stuck in poor health and allowing your body to perform at its' best.  For some, addressing these five pillars --- and making necessary diet and lifestyle changes --- can resolve their challenges.  Others will feel better immediately and have the energy and resilience to tackle further healing."
